Privacy policy
This site collects as little as it can, and the honest version is short.
The short version
NovoltGear is a static website. It does not run analytics, it does not run advertising, it does not set tracking cookies, and it does not sell or share personal data with anyone. There is no account system and no login. In normal use, the only personal data this site handles is what you choose to send by email.
What we do not collect
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no privacy-oriented analytics, no self-hosted page-view counting.
- No advertising or tracking pixels. No ad networks, no retargeting tags, no social media pixels.
- No tracking cookies. The site sets no cookie that identifies you or follows you across sites.
- No accounts. There is no registration, no login and no profile.
- No third-party requests. Fonts, styles, scripts and images are served from this site's own domain. Loading a page makes no request to any other company's server.
What is handled, and why
| What | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Server request logs | The web host records standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp — to serve the page and protect against abuse. | Held by the hosting provider under their own terms. Not exported or analysed by us. |
| A local browser flag | Stores whether you have dismissed the cookie notice, so it stops appearing. | Stays in your browser's local storage. Never transmitted. |
| Email you send us | To reply to you and, for corrections, to update the relevant article. | In the editorial mailbox. Retained while the correspondence is useful. |
| Newsletter address | To send the newsletter, if and when the list is live. | Not yet collected — the form validates the address but does not store or transmit it. |
The newsletter form
The newsletter form on this site currently validates the format of an email address in your browser and displays a confirmation message. It does not send that address anywhere, because no mailing-list provider is connected yet. The page says this next to the form. If a list is connected later, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and the form will state the provider.
Outbound links
Product links point to the manufacturer's own website. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, and their privacy policy applies — not this one. We do not control what a retailer or manufacturer records when you visit them.
Where a link carries an affiliate tracking parameter, that parameter identifies this site as the referrer so a commission can be attributed. It does not identify you personally, and it does not give this site access to anything you do on the destination site. The current state of affiliate links on this site is stated on the affiliate disclosure.
Outbound links are marked rel="nofollow", and remain on this site's own domain in
form — we do not use redirect domains or link cloaking, so the destination is always visible
before you click.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data relating to you — access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection to processing. Because this site holds almost no personal data, in most cases the practical answer is that there is nothing to return: no profile, no analytics record, no marketing segment.
Where the site does hold something — an email you sent us — you can ask us to delete it, and we will, unless we have a specific legal obligation to retain it. Requests go to [email protected].
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with a statutory data-protection regime, the relevant rights apply to the data described above. Requests are answered within the period the applicable law requires.
Legal basis and international transfer
The site's host may process request data outside your country of residence. Where that happens, the transfer is governed by the hosting provider's own contractual safeguards. We do not independently transfer data anywhere, because we do not collect it in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts collecting something it does not collect today — analytics, a connected newsletter provider, a comment system — this policy will be updated before that change goes live, and the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change. The date shown is 2026-10-04.
