By using novoltgear.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, the appropriate course is not to use the site. These terms apply to the website itself; they do not govern your relationship with any retailer or manufacturer you reach through an outbound link.

What this site is

NovoltGear publishes editorial information about consumer electronics: buying guides, specification-based reviews, comparisons and setup instructions. It is an information service. It is not a shop, not a marketplace, and not a party to any transaction you make elsewhere.

The information is guidance, not advice

Content on this site is general editorial information. It is written to help a reader reason about a purchase, not to constitute professional advice for a particular situation. Specifically:

Specifications change. Manufacturers revise products, firmware and specifications without notice. A figure that was accurate when an article was reviewed may not be accurate now. Always confirm against the manufacturer's current documentation before buying.
Prices and availability change. This site does not quote prices as fixed, and mentions of price in prose are dated and illustrative.
Compatibility is your responsibility to confirm. Recommendations are made in general terms. Whether a specific component, dock, cable or accessory works with your specific machine depends on details only you can check.

Setup instructions are written to be safe and correct, but you perform them at your own risk, on your own equipment, and you should back up data before making hardware or storage changes.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

This site links to third-party websites, including manufacturer product pages. Those sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability, their privacy practices or their terms. Following an outbound link is at your own discretion, and the destination site's terms then apply.

Outbound product links are marked as described in the affiliate disclosure. A link being present is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.

Intellectual property

Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its host, or any connected system.
Republish content in a way that misrepresents it, including removing a correction that has been applied.

Nothing here removes any right you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
